The administration, communication and organization of your event will be a stress-free experience. Jazz Fever is a self-managed band, there are no third parties involved. From the moment you contact us you are dealing directly with the band leader.
We offer a comprehensive range of services that can be customized to just about any size and budget.
pricing
We are very reasonably priced. Fees vary depending on the:
- number of performers
- number of hours
We charge by the hour, and do not charge for time spent setting up.

deposit
Payment of a 20% deposit secures your booking with us. This can be made via direct deposit or cheque.
You will be notified of your balance within two days of receipt of deposit.
payment options
You will be notified of your balance within two days of receipt of deposit. Payment options are as follows:
- Direct deposit: Payable into our bank account at least 3 weeks prior to the date of the event. Our bank account details will be provided at the time of booking.
- Cheque: Made payable to ‘Jazz Fever’ and mailed at least 3 weeks prior to the date of the event.
Additional fees will apply for overdue payments and cheques not clearing.
cancellation policy
The deposit is non-refundable. We require 3 weeks notice of cancellation. If a cancellation occurs less than 3 weeks before the date of the event, you will still be required to pay 50% of the balance. If a cancellation occurs on the day of the event, full payment will still be required.
travel fees
There are no travel fees for events within 60 minutes by car from Sydney CBD. We will need to charge travel fees for areas outside this perimeter, including: Wollongong, The Blue Mountains, Hunter Valley, Newcastle. These fees can be negotiated at the time of booking.
performance
The musicians arrive 1 hour prior to the scheduled start time to setup the performance space. We can arrive earlier at an additional cost.
Our dress code can consist of all black to black tie, or even “Great Gatsby” theme.
additional requirements
For all bookings you will need to provide drinks for our performers, and provide meals for bookings 3 hours or longer.
We will need access to a power point. If there is no access to a power point we can play acoustically, but we must be notified prior to the event.
The maximum time we can perform before taking a break is 1 hour. The minimum time we can take a break for is 10 minutes. We usually perform for 45 minutes then take a 15 minute break. We can tailor our breaks around your event schedule (i.e. speeches etc.)
The maximum number of sets we can perform is 6 sets.
